I finally made it back from the Coast after a weekend of frolicking and fighting the rain, and have put together a small site with some pictures I took.

I have never been a big kite geek, but I took the plunge and bought a high-performance stunt kite while I was there and it is just the coolest thing! There is something so darned liberating about being able to control a piece of high-tech ripstop nylon in a strong wind, and I am now hooked. We have an elementary school right around the corner from our house and it's just so easy to slip over there after work for an hour to forget about the troubled world we live in, and get lost in the sky with my new friend.
