Tony Blair paying the price for being Dubya's buddy in Iraq:

Clare Short, Britain's secretary for international development, today became the second person to resign from the cabinet over Iraq, ending her six years in government with a surprisingly personal attack on Prime Minister Tony Blair in an angry speech to the House of Commons.

The immediate reason for her resignation, she said, was Mr. Blair's "betrayal" of his promise to work for United Nations involvement in postwar Iraq. "I'm ashamed that the UK government ... supported the United States in trying to bully the U.N.," she told the Commons.

I like Blair, but he made a huge mistake hitching his horse up with the Cowboy.
